Aloha! Well, we have just arrived home from spectacular Maui and we had an absolute blast! What a beautiful island and we know we have only just begun our trips there!
We flew the 10 hours from Orlando to Maui on Sunday morning, and arrived in Maui just as the sun was setting. Here we are beginning our trip in Orlando, completely unaware of how f
ar away Hawaii really is!We stayed at the Westin in Ka'anapali, and what a resort it is! It is located on the west side of the island, so we had a beautiful
sunset view out of our 
room every night. Between the beach and the 7 pools at the hotel, not to mention the 2 water slides, we had a lot to do right there!The two mountains in the background are Lanai and Molokai, and it was so surreal to lay on the beach
looking at the islands right across the water.
After enjoying our hotel and the surrounding area, we ventured out to Ho'okipa State Park, one of the best windsurfing and kiteboarding areas in the world. Joey was in heaven and wished he had his kiteboarding gear! What a sight it was t
o see 40+ kiteboarders and windsurfers all in the same spot!
We also ate at some fabulous restaurants! The specialty at most places is ahi tuna - soooo good!
This was Joey's favorite dessert at the Pineapple Grill in Kapalua - pineapple upside-down cake with macadamia nut ice cream!! Now, I need to recreate that at home, or at least try!
We also went on an amazing dive excursion to Molokini, a small island off the coast of Maui. We saw a handful of sharks, some sea turtles, and hundreds of garden eels! Joey also got to surf with some of the locals while we were there :)
On our last night, we went to a luau at our hotel and what an experience that was! G
reat food and entertainment, and a perfect way to end our trip!We were sad to leave the Magic Isle but we know we will back in the future!
Now, on to our next adventure!
